LIFE PERFECT

Pesticide reduction using friendly and environmentally controlled technologies

Funding entity: Application of the LIFE Environment and Resource Efficiency project. LIFE 17 ENV / ES000205

Period: From 09/01/2018 to 08/31/2022

Project coordinator: Center for Environmental Studies of the Mediterranean (CEAM)

The general objective of this project is to demonstrate that it is possible to reduce environmental pollution by pesticides and their associated metabolites in the air, using tools for adjusting the optimal volume of broth (OVRA) and technologies for the reduction of drift (SDRT), reducing the risk for fauna. , flora and humans. At the same time, it seeks to develop a new ultra-fast, sensitive and high temporal resolution technology for the analysis of pesticides, evaluating their application from a human health point of view and in real agricultural conditions.

The UMA is part of the consortium formed by the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA), the Mediterranean Environmental Studies Center Foundation (CEAM), the Fundació per al Foment de la Investigació Sanitària i Biomédica de la Comunitat Valenciana (FISABIO), the Federació de Cooperatives Agroalimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana, the Università di Torino, the Institut français de le vigne et du vin (IVF), and the European Society for Differential Analysis of Mobility (SEADM).
