LIFE Perfect
LIFE PERFECT ("PEsticide Reduction using Friendly and Environmentally Controlled Technologies"), aims to reduce the risk of pesticide applications for bystanders, fauna and flora in citriculture and viticulture. The work will consist of transferring to the agents of the agrarian sector involved various methods for the reduction of the pollution generated by pesticide applications and the metabolites of their decomposition. For this, several demonstrations will be made on the use of tools for the optimal adjustment of the volume to be applied and of various technologies for the reduction of spray drift.
The UMA is part of the consortium formed by the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA), the Fundación Centro de Estudios Ambientales del Mediterráneo (CEAM), the Fundació per al Foment de la Investigació Sanitària i Biomédica de la Comunitat Valenciana (FISABIO), the Federació de Cooperatives Agroalimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana, the Università di Torino, the Institut français de le vigne et du vin (IVF), and the Sociedad Europea de Análisis Diferencial de Movilidad (SEADM).
The inaugural meeting was in Valencia in October 2018.
